    Smarter is a management company responsible for defining the overall strategy of investment activities and ensuring optimal management and development strategies for each business unit within the group. The main areas of activity and focus of our company include the international fintech community SFORS (sfors.com), the brokerage company Statok (statok.global), and the product company Pine Software (pinesoftware.com.cy).

     
    As a     VAT Manager, you will  be responsible for managing all aspects of VAT within the Group, including regulatory compliance, preparation and submission of VAT reports, business advisory support, risk management, and interaction with tax authorities. While the primary focus of this role is VAT, the specialist may also be involved in direct tax and transfer pricing matters depending on the availability and needs of the Group.

    Job requirements

    • 7+ years of solid VAT experience in a multinational corporate environment; prior exposure to a Big 4 firm will be regarded as an advantage.

    • Strong knowledge of Cyprus and EU VAT legislation and familiarity with international VAT principles.

    • Proven experience in managing VAT compliance and advisory work for multiple entities or jurisdictions.

    • Experience dealing with tax authorities and managing audits.

    • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

    • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.

    • English professional working proficiency level.

    • Additional analytical or data-processing skills (Power Point).

    • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, or similar).

    • Experience delivering VAT training.

    • Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent) will be considered an advantage
